Sheep Crossing Painters

Jo painted this plein air pastel at the Wild Rivers Paint Out in Questa, New Mexico in June 2019. It is fun capturing the light, distance, images and feelings in a quick two and a half hour painting. Plein air is painting outside on the spot where you might encounter rain, animals and other visitors. This was the first of a five day paint out with about 80 artists from all over the country.
