Typical sunset in Jo's hometown in New Mexico. Jo's mother took photographs of sunsets and rainbows inspiring Jo to paint some of those memories. The clouds are dropping virga, rain that evaporates before it hits the ground. Jo traded this painting to her niece, Carolyn, for a handmade basket. Fun. The painting resides in Tennessee now.
Pastel on Wallis paper, 12 x 9 inches, framed in barnyard wooden frame against plexiglas.
