Cherries Jubilee Absolutely a perfect combination for a summer snack. The grapes and cherries were juicy and sweet and begged to be painted in a still life. The bowl is a ceramic bowl made by a teenage friend shaped as a cabbage leaf. Local artists have donated works of art to be auctioned at the R.A.Green Mercantile, 1022 Main in Bastrop. 100 percent of the proceeds will go to help artists who lost studios and art materials in the recent fires. Help us put them back to work by going to the Mercantile during the month of October and bidding on a work of art. The auction closes at 3PM on October 30.
