Killeen Exhibit Pastels and Beyond

Regina Calton Burchett and Jo Knoblock Castillo, pastel artist friends, shared an exhibit at the Killeen Convention and Civic Center, 3601 S. W S Young Dr., Killeen, Texas. (254) 501-3888 There were 42 paintings on display and for sale.

The exhibit presented many different items from paintings to jewelry and sculpture. Some of the pieces created after the fire. The funds raised helped the artists of the Bastrop Community.

Mora Rocks

Jo presented her original pastel, oil and acrylic paintings at The Arts About Town. This show featured artists, artisans and crafters with original art, no commercially produced items. Saturday, September 3, 2011, Centro Plaza, HWY 434

Austin Pastel Society Member Show Northwest Hills Gallery, November 2 - 29, 2010Jo's two paintings along with about fifty others from the society were on display. See below for awards.
Seventh Annual Exhibit in Magdalena, New Mexico, at Peppers Art Gallery in July, 2010. Jo painted with a demonstration on Friday, July 9, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., had a public reception on Saturday, July 10, 12 noon to 4:00 p.m., and was there on Sunday, July 11, 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m... The Old Timers event has every year, a rodeo with cowboys over 50 years old, a parade, exhibits, food including a pancake breakfast and barbeque and much more.
Hill Country Autumn Jo had her painting, Hill Country Autumn in the The Austin Pastel Society Annual Juried Member Exhibition, March 8 - May 1, 2010, at the Corridor of Art, 700 Lavaca St., Austin, Texas. The exhibit is open regular banking hours. The awards reception will be held on March 21, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., free and open to the public. Free parking for the reception in the garage at 8th. and Guadalupe.
